Announcement of scholarship recipients- SACS-Upperclassman 2026
The Sargent Alumni created a new scholarship last year, and the first recipients have been announced. The Sargent Alumni Community Scholarship Upperclassman Scholarship is for full-time students who graduated from Sargent Public School and are currently enrolled in college. Applicants must have completed one year of college and may reapply yearly. The scholarship is for $ 1,000 per year, divided equally between semesters, and three (3) scholarships were awarded. The applicants submitted a video essay about themselves and what is spurring them on to continue their education in their chosen field.
Congratulations, Ragan Mauler, who will be attending the University of Wyoming in the fall of 2026, where she will pursue a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science, focusing on nutrition.
Congratulations, Melissa Slagle, who is attending UNMC at Kearney in Radiography.
Congratulations, Elsie Ottun, who is attending UNK at Kearney for elementary education.
